Our Approach

At Exypno, we specialize in creating intricate web and mobile applications. Our approach is centered on utilizing analytics data and focusing on usability in the design process. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional products that meet the needs of our clients.

Our Team

One of our major strengths is our comprehensive expertise and ability to undertake and successfully complete large-scale projects.

 

Our team comprises over 30 in-house professionals who specialize in areas such as analytics, usability, design, development, testing, information security, and system administration. These employees are based out of our offices in Baku, Azerbaijan and Miami, Florida. This enables us to take on major web projects and complex mobile applications. Additionally, we have access to a large network of production agencies, which allows us to scale our team as needed.

Our Research

We believe that in order to build and enhance any product, it is necessary to have measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in place. To this end, we establish specific KPIs for a project at the beginning stage, after conducting user experience research.

 

During this research, we determine the needs of users and their interaction with the product and also conduct interviews with various stakeholders from the customer’s organization to gain a better understanding of the business goals and requirements.

Engineering and System Analysis

To begin, we conduct a pre-project survey to identify the boundaries and limitations of the system in question. Using the information from the survey and analytical report, we create a prioritized list of tasks for each system. 

We then plan the navigation for the website and mobile app based on user scenarios. With the scenarios in place, we identify specific user tasks for each page, thus creating the overall navigation architecture of the project. 

Next, we create a prototype to visualize the final product. The prototype is built using logical units and without design, allowing us to focus on functionality and content before adding design elements. At the design stage, we also determine the layout of the information and create texts, photos, videos, and illustrations.

Product Design

The design process begins with a general visual concept, during which we determine the aesthetic style of the product. Our creative director, together with an art director, leads the team responsible for creating the project concept. 

We also have a dedicated team of experts who specialize in mobile application design, who are well-versed in the guidelines and nuances of the major mobile platforms.

In larger projects, we develop a design system, which serves as the project’s visual language. By adhering to this system and its standardized elements, designers can quickly create new products while maintaining the project’s visual consistency.

Development Process

Our team of skilled developers is led by experienced team leads who guide them through various projects. We have the expertise to tackle complex technical issues such as building high-load, fault-tolerant portals and native mobile apps, as well as integrating with our clients’ back-end systems. 

We also possess the knowledge and skills to integrate a website or mobile app with any solution on the market, including the protocols for niche CRM and CMS systems. Our developers also work closely with clients to create internal documentation for the work being done, as well as for other external teams.

Each project is closely monitored by one or more team leads, who are both programmers and IT managers. They oversee the engineering and code logging, and are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the architecture. The team leads communicate with the client’s technical experts and manage the development team.

We have an in-house quality assurance department that performs regression testing, autotesting, load testing, and more. 

We also take charge of developing requirements for the infrastructure and configuring it ourselves. 

Additionally, we strive to improve the automation of continuous delivery of CI/CD changes to speed up the delivery of new features. Our automated deployment tools also enable us to work without downtime and handle traffic surges.

Technical audit

In addition to our development work, we are also frequently called upon to conduct technical audits of existing systems. We assign a team, led by a team leader and system administrator, to thoroughly examine the architecture (both code and server side) for compliance with the selected CMF (Content Management Framework), security, fault tolerance, and performance requirements.

Support & Maintenance

We don’t just launch the product and move on. Our goal is to quickly create a minimum viable product (MVP) and continuously improve and add new features to it. We make educated guesses on what can be enhanced in the project and put those ideas to the test to achieve the best results.

We maintain constant surveillance of the applications and project infrastructure. Our top priority is preventing any service disruptions. A team of administrators and developers closely monitor the systems 24/7/365 and are ready to quickly address any issues that arise.

We’ve also implemented a monitoring and alert system with multiple backup options for instant problem detection. The emergency team receives alerts through various communication channels in our office-based situation center and, if needed, we notify the customer’s managers and staff.

Additionally, we prioritize the security of the product. To achieve this, we test the project for vulnerability to hacking attempts, install traffic filtering systems to defend against DDoS attacks, and make sure the applications, servers, and overall infrastructure are secure.
